Date Night Outfit Ideas During COVID-19
So many people are dating during COVID! Love is still alive. Now, more than ever, we are craving connection. According to Psychology Today, the usage of dating apps has increased up to 15% since March.
If you’ve been thinking about getting back into the dating scene or you are currently happy in a relationship, you’ll enjoy these date night outfit ideas for winter.
You can still enjoy romantic dates with your sweetie, because love has NOT been canceled! Below, I share date night outfit ideas to go along with safe date plans that my friend Ali Migliore, founder of Simply Matchmaking, shared with me.
Comfortable At-Home Date Night Outfit
Cupcakes & Cashmere Sabine Sweater // BERKETT'S $110
High-Rise Destructed Slim Jeans // WHITE HOUSE BLACK MARKET $49.50
Rutilated Quartz Earrings // ETSY $45
Ava Loafer Mule // NORDSTROM $62.98
Stuck at home together? Take an online cooking class together. Eat Seattle is the best!
For this date, make sure to dress comfortably.
Choose an easy to pull on lightweight sweater and a tee underneath in case it gets hot in the kitchen.
Top your outfit off with earrings by Leah Pastrana. They are one-of-a-kind, modern, and cool. They’re also affordable!
Finally, try a slip-on flat. You’ll either love them or hate them—just remember not to wear socks.
Layer Up for An Outdoor Date
Colby Two-Toned Jacket // BOHME $48.50
Merino Turtleneck Sweater in Responsible Wool // BANANA REPUBLIC $39
Pilcro High-Rise Slim Boyfriend Corduroy Pants // ANTHROPOLOGIE $118
Temple Black Gold Chain Necklace // ANA LUISA $115
Tibby Lace-Up Boot // NORDSTROM $139.95
If you want to take a romantic walk outside, or have a socially-distanced outdoor picnic on a cozy blanket, it’s crucial to layer your clothes.
Grab a hot cocoa, coffee, or Bailey’s Irish coffee, and choose a spot along the water. Some of our Seattle favorites include Olympic Sculpture Park, Seward Park, and Luther Burbank Park.
For your date night outfit… layer it up!
Get a fitted or semi-fitted turtleneck to pair under a zip-up coat. The best way to wear oversized coats and jackets is with a fitted top. The chunky boots are the highlight of this look. I chose this white pair instead of a black because I’m finding a lot of clients opting for lighter colors this season, and this pair goes well.
Holiday-Themed Date Night Outfit
Sylvie Cable Knit Sweater // BOHME $62.50
Spanx Faux Leather Leggings // EVEREVE $88.20
Geddes Jewel Earrings // BOHME $14.75
Gola x J.Crew Mark Cox Tennis Sneakers // J. CREW $65
Prefer to stay indoors? You can have a holiday-themed date night in your home!
Play holiday music, decorate the tree, bake cookies, watch a holiday movie, and don't forget to light that fire!
The comfortable, sexy pant option is a faux leather legging. Seriously, if you don’t own a pair, add it to your wishlist. Anything you pair with it works.
My favorite is the Spanx option, because they lift your body in all the right places. Sneakers make a great casual option, but you can glam it up with fun earrings.
A Polished Look for a Long Weekend Getaway
Metallic Jacquard Puff-Sleeve Top // MADEWELL $78
High-Rise Straight Jean // BANANA REPUBLIC $59
Paperclip Chain Necklace // MADEWELL $38
Maya Stud Earrings // NORDSTROM $18
Weekly Combat Boot // NORDSTROM $120
For those relationships that have progressed to this level, rent a cabin or an AirBNB somewhere close by for a quick one-night staycation or a long weekend getaway!
When I think of a staycation, I think of wine, room service, and bonding time. Pull on a nice blouse and tuck it into a high-waist, straight jean to dress it down. Pair suede, lace up boots to keep your look feeling comfortable but polished.
