Top 5 Colors For Spring 2019

There are some crazy colors coming out this season and I’m already seeing pepper stem all over the place. Be open to trying on colors you’ve never worn before, you might surprise yourself by finding fresh options for your looks. Overall, there’s a total of 12 colors and 4 neutrals for the season palette but I wanted to share my top 5 favorites, you can view all the colors on the Pantone website to get the full scope of what to expect.

The looks from below are straight from the runway, you won’t find or probably wear any of the pieces, it’s simply a source of inspiration for you to see what the designers originally imagined before lower end retailers interpreted it for our everyday lives.

PANTONE 15-1264

Turmeric

“Turmeric is an enlivening orange that infuses a hint of pungency into the palette.”

Pantone Color || Turmeric

Fendi Spring 2019

Versace Spring 2019

Tory Burch Spring 2019

Bright and eye catching for day wear. The light blue combination in the Fendi look makes a beautiful compliment to the bag, somehow it makes the color more lively and less overwhelming. You will also find more matching top and jacket or pant and jacket combinations creating a classic twist to the new trends.

PANTONE 15-0960

Mango Mojito

“The golden yellow Mango Mojito feeds our craving for pleasant comforts.”

Pantone Color|| Mango Mojito

Hermes Spring 2019

Madewell Spring 2019

Marni Spring 2019

More of a subtle yellow and great for everyday wear. For the woman that enjoys wearing earth tones, the mango mojito can be a great mix to your current wardrobe. If the color is too much for you, find the mango mojito in the stitching or the print to new pieces you purchase. It’s a relaxed, vacation kind of color, I’m thinking resort wear, weekend wear, and brunch.

PANTONE 18-1031

Toffee

“Deliciously irresistible, tasteful Toffee whets the appetite.”

Pantone Color|| Toffee

A.L.C Spring 2019

Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2019

Fendi Spring 2019

I’ve actually been obsessing over browns the past couple months already so I’m so happy to see toffee in the Spring collection. It combines easily with a lot of colors and isn’t as dark as a black or navy. Get it in a basic like a skirt or a pant and have fun experimenting with new ways to add this to your wardrobe because I know the browns have been out for awhile. Although browns are sometimes seen as casual, I feel the designs that have come out in the toffee seem more sophisticated and fresh.

PANTONE 19-4150

Princess Blue

“Princess Blue, a majestic royal blue hue, glistens and gleams.”

Pantone Color|| Princess Blue

Dries Van Noten Spring 2019

Dundas Spring 2019

Armani Prive Spring 2019

Princess blue is so majestic and powerful! The designers have chosen real statement pieces to portray this color. We’ve seen this combination with red before in the past and it’s a great way to make more outfits with the color. I totally suggest wearing this color for headshots, an important work meeting or presentation. It is memorable and bold.

PANTONE 17-0542

Pepper Stem

“Zesty yellow-green Pepper Stem encourages our desire for nature’s healthy bounty.”

Pantone Color|| Pepper Stem

Chanel Spring 2019 Couture

Missoni Spring 2019

Elie Saab Spring 2019

This color has been popping up at many stores already including Anthropologie, Ann Taylor, and Banana Republic. It’s a soft neutral but I’ve found already it’s not an easy color for everyone to wear. It does have a more relaxed feel to it which is why it works great for gowns and dresses. You can add a lot of ruffles and detailing without it looking like too much going on. It can easily mix with neutrals and pinks for daywear too.

What color are you going to try out? Have you purchased any yet? I’d love to hear what’s working best for you!
