Hot topic time! What gender neutral fashion can you find right now? Options are expanding and there are clothing lines coming out such as Wilde Vertigga and Kirrin Finch are just a couple of my favorites. Definitely check them out! (I’ll have to do a follow up blog with more details of each brand for you to learn more about them.)

For this video, fashion blogger, Richard Meharry from A Man About Style invited me to search for gender neutral options at Bellevue Square. In 2 hours we found three outfits that worked and three that didn’t. You won’t want to miss out on the fun and details, you can see the full video here.

TIPS FOR MEN SHOPPING THE WOMEN’S SECTION

  • Take advantage of the color – Men’s clothing tends to be stocked with an excessive amount of blue and black but if you enjoy color, you’ll need to go elsewhere. For soft blouses you can roll up for Summer, J Crew had an option that fit Richard so well. Keep in mind, you may have to order shirts or pants in a tall for extra coverage
  • Try non-traditional styles – In women’s fashion right now, the tie waist is everywhere. Men can wear this too! You’ll have to try on a few pairs to find exactly the right cut. We found a great linen stripe at Anthropologie.
  • Deep V-neck tees – Women’s slouchy v-necks can be a great option for summer time. It allows you to collect other colors and cuts for your summer wardrobe.
  • Mix up how you style the piece – This makes a huge difference on whether it’s a buy or leave. If you find something you love that might be a little bit out there, find a way to style it that makes it more you or easy to wear outside the fitting room.
